WEDDING DAY: Indian and Western… Jaya and Jordan were looking for eclectic with a hint of contemporary without feeling stuffy.
Blending their cultures and combining their love for Wine Country, they wanted guests to feel pampered and welcomed the moment they arrived to the beautiful private estate they chose for their celebration. The setting was a stunning canvas that incorporated their personalities and style. We created an overall palette of warm, rich color and used subtle paisley print linens throughout. Antique tin and copper accessories gave a nod to India and a wonderful sense of the past.
The dinner tables were designed with contemporary white, ivory, and warm wood shapes, each styled in unique groupings that gave the dining room a personal feeling.
Starting with a traditional Indian ceremony, the bridal party and family wore formal Indian attire in rich, saturated jewel tones. As we transitioned for the second ceremony, guests enjoyed Indian candies and cookies served with iced tea and lemonade under the shade of the willow trees. For the short yet sweet Western ceremony, the boys changed into linen suits and the girls wore short hot-pink dresses. Jaya, still adorned in henna, was stunning in her flowing gown carrying a luscious, loose bouquet.
After cocktailing overlooking the vineyards, guests dined al fresco on a Mediterranean mix of local fresh ingredients presented family style and savored the Valley's finest wines. A wide array of sweet and savory delicacies paired with aperitifs and dessert wines were served as the guests danced the night away…
