Nina & Rahul
WEDDING DAY: Color…Red, Yellow, and Aqua…Wow!
Nina and Rahul come from traditional Indian families. They wanted to celebrate their rich culture and family tradition, but also incorporate their more modern lifestyle and love of food, wine, and cooking.
Their wedding was held at a winery with a rich history in the heart of the Napa Valley, which added a dramatic backdrop to this bright, beautiful ceremony. The festivities commenced with a traditional procession, and guests sang and danced to the beat of drums while the groom rode in on a white horse. We built a custom canopy for guest seating during the ceremony, offering shade from the morning summer sun. To keep the mood informal, we lined the aisles with florals in bright summer tones of golds, greens, and reds with fun sunflower heads, petals, and a culinary herbal mixture.
The vibrant wedding party attire contributed to the aqua accents, giving a stunning contrast.
After the Ceremony, guests moved to the Carriage House for a traditional Indian lunch. The color palette of linens and fabrics transitioned into beautiful cool summer aqua tones. We showcased fruits and vegetables mixed with flowers in reds and yellows for the table centerpieces, and the tables were named after culinary herbs as a nod to the love of food and cooking that Nina and Rahul are so passionate about. As lunch concluded guests departed to rest up for the next event…and the celebrating continued late into the wee hours of the morning…
